The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter is committed to creating opportunities for fellowship, fun and meaningful alumni involvement for Texas Exes members - with a San Francisco flair.
Join us for social, networking and community events in the Bay Area! We strive to provide a variety of activities to meet the needs of over 10,000 Bay Area Longhorns.
Through our scholarship program, we help top high-school graduates from the Bay Area to attend The University and have the same wonderful educational opportunity we did.
Our chapter is affiliated with the Texas Exes, our parent organization; chapter membership is automatic if you are a member of the Texas Exes. Join a Committee
Our chapter is led by a local volunteer board, with help from generous committee members! Interested in participating? We have opportunities to plan and/or lead local events such as football game watches, volunteer events, happy hours, or anything else you have a passion for organizing. Football Game-Watching
Unless otherwise noted, we watch all Longhorn football games at the San Francisco Brewing Co in San Francisco. We typically have a reserved space for each game, with plenty of flat-panel TVs to watch the Horns. Game watch events in other areas may be held for bigger games. Please check out our Instagram or Facebook group for more info. You can find the football schedule and much more at the Longhorn Football website. If you watch games with fellow Texas Exes at a different location, please let us know and we will post the information here.
The Burnt Orange BBQ
This annual kick-off event typically occurs during the summer and attracts a large number of Bay Area alumni and their families. The 2022 event occurred on June 11th and had 100+ in attendance.
