We are blessed to have twelve (12) Endowed Scholarships in Austin County, in honor of the following Longhorns:

John Foster Brown, Houston engineer and businessman, former President of BP Solvay Polyethylene North America, father of a UT grad.

Ollie D. Brown, Jr., oil businessman, originally from Waller, and lifelong supporter of all things UT.

Robert (Bob) Charpiot, local businessman and dedicated UT alum

J. Lee Dittert, former Austin County judge

B. J. Jahnke, prominent chemist and the first woman to work in Baroid laboratory

J. D. & Anita Kamas, Bellville and Austin County business leaders

Helen Kistler, dedicated public school teacher

Margaret Koy Kistler, community leader, journalist, and staunch supporter of Bellville and the University of Texas

Ernie Koy, Sr., Longhorn football and baseball All-American of the 1930s
